Chelsom is proud to have worked alongside Bergman Design House on the transformation of Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere, a landmark luxury hotel and resort set within the Cheshire countryside.
With interior architecture and design by the internationally acclaimed studio, the project represents a significant redevelopment of the former Mere Golf Resort & Spa, bringing a sophisticated new identity to one of the region’s most prestigious hospitality destinations.
Chelsom supplied decorative lighting throughout the property, encompassing guestrooms and suites, bathrooms and an extensive range of public spaces, including the reception, bars, restaurants and ballroom.
The lighting scheme combines designs from Chelsom’s latest collections with an extensive selection of bespoke pieces, specially developed to complement Bergman Design House’s distinctive interiors. From refined bedside lighting and elegant bathroom fittings to large-scale statement chandeliers and striking decorative installations, each element has been carefully considered to enhance the character and atmosphere of its setting.
Particularly impressive are the statement lighting features within the hotel’s public spaces, where dramatic proportions, decorative detailing and warm illumination create memorable focal points. Throughout the guestrooms and suites, a more understated approach balances contemporary luxury with comfort and functionality.
The result is a comprehensive decorative lighting scheme that demonstrates Chelsom’s ability to deliver both standard and bespoke solutions across a large-scale luxury hospitality project, bringing consistency, individuality and exceptional attention to detail to every space.
